Following the bombing of the former Baltic Exchange building, we arranged a transaction which relocated the Baltic Exchange and the simultaneous acquisition of their freehold interest in the site at 30 St Mary Axe. We completed the site assembly within a 6 month period and conceived a strategy to produce a ‘tall building’. The site, with the benefit of a planning permission, was sold to Swiss Re.
